This senior hardware engineering role focuses on building next-generation networking platforms for AWS's world-class data centers. The position requires expertise in programmable logic design, particularly for Ethernet switching platforms.

Responsibilities For Senior Hardware Engineer, NPD Hardware

  • Design and development of next generation Ethernet switching platforms
  • Architectural definition and specification
  • Detailed design of programmable logic devices
  • Work with board designers and software engineers
  • Support validation team in manufacturing and testing
  • Interface with cross-functional teams
  • Manage outside vendors on CPLD/FPGA development

Requirements For Senior Hardware Engineer, NPD Hardware

Python
  • BSEE with 5+ years experience in programmable logic design
  • Strong logic design skills in state machines, asynchronous/synchronous design, Boolean logic
  • Verilog/SystemVerilog coding skills
  • Advanced knowledge of CPLDs/FPGAs
  • Working knowledge of source control / GIT repositories
  • Experience with automated builds and CI/CD environments
  • Some C++ proficiency
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience as a project and technical lead
  • Ability to travel up to 10% to Seattle and Asia
