AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking a Senior Hardware Engineer to join their Network Products Development team. This role is crucial in designing and developing next-generation Ethernet switching platforms for AWS's world-class datacenters. The position requires extensive experience in modular chassis-based enterprise/carrier products and strong hardware board design skills.
The ideal candidate will work on cutting-edge networking technology, including terabit switch fabrics, 10/40/100 gigabit interfaces, embedded CPU subsystems, and network processors. They will be responsible for architectural definition, specification, component selection, detailed design, and manufacturing transition.

Requirements For Senior Hardware Engineer, NPD Hardware
- BSEE with 10+ years experience in hardware board and systems development
- Recent 5+ years experience with Ethernet switching fabrics, Ethernet PHY and SerDes interfaces
- Recent 5+ years of experience in CPLD/FPGA design using VHDL or Verilog
- Experience in motherboard design, PCB design including schematic capture
- Experience troubleshooting with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and specialized test equipment
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Experience as a project and technical lead
- Ability to travel up to 10% to Seattle and Asia
- Must be able to enter both Taiwan and China without visa issues
