Description For Senior Hardware Engineering Manager

As the Senior Hardware Engineering Manager, you will work with an experienced cross-disciplinary team to design and develop innovative consumer products. You will work closely with an internal inter-disciplinary team and outside partners to drive key aspects of product definition, execution, and test. You must be responsive, flexible, and able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment. A passion for quality and reliability is essential in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage electronic and mechanical engineering teams responsible for product development
  • Recruit, select, and retain team members as the business grows
  • Engage with other development teams during initial phases
  • Oversee engineering for all launched products, including EE and ME areas
  • Ensure hardware performance and quality, collaborating with operations, support, and quality teams
  • Continue product development post-launch to improve quality and performance
  • Design and implement strategies to organize Hardware Engineering Group for maximum output
  • Monitor and report on R&D activities related to hardware development
  • Prepare hardware schedules for various development projects
  • Develop strategies to improve product yield and reliability
  • Collaborate with Engineering Department to transition new product designs to mass production
  • Assist Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality departments with defect resolution
  • Coordinate with internal departments and senior management to ensure efficiency
  • Analyze and resolve interdepartmental issues
  • Design innovative circuits and update documentation
  • Supervise project implementation and report development progress to senior executives
  • Train engineers and technicians on product design, innovations, deployment, and testing

Requirements For Senior Hardware Engineering Manager

  • At least 15 years of experience in consumer electronics industry
  • Leadership experience in leading a team with 20+ members (mix of EE, ME, HW engineers)
  • Engineering background (EE/ME)
  • Strong communication skills in English & Chinese
  • Self-driven, motivated, and willing to take on challenges in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective in managing multiple tasks and priorities
