Senior Innovation and Design Engineer, Worldwide Design and Engineering

Amazon is seeking a Senior Innovation and Design Engineer to join their Worldwide Design Engineering team in Nashville. This role focuses on designing next-generation fulfillment centers and logistics systems globally. The position involves creating innovative solutions for automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies, and robotics systems. You'll work on diverse projects including green-fields, brown-fields, and retrofits across North America and Europe.

As a senior engineer, you'll collaborate with internal and external teams, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and serve as the primary technical contact for suppliers. The role requires expertise in 3D CAD design, factory acceptance testing, and system implementation. You'll be responsible for developing specifications and standards while ensuring successful installation and commissioning of designed systems.

The team environment is fast-paced and often ambiguous, working on hundreds of projects annually. You'll be part of a highly skilled engineering team focused on standardizing products and automation that can be utilized across multiple MHE Integrators, ultimately helping Amazon lower capital investment costs and pass savings to customers.
