Senior Innovation Engineer, Innovation, Engineering & Sustainability

Amazon Transportation Service (ATS) is seeking a Senior Innovation Engineer to join their Innovation & Engineering team. This role focuses on developing cutting-edge process-centric and sustainable infrastructure concepts for Middle Mile operations. The position offers an exciting opportunity to work on ambitious projects involving yard operations, material handling equipment (MHE), and container design with sustainability in mind.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing innovative material handling systems that exceed industry standards in efficiency and automation. Working from multiple locations including Berlin or London, you'll collaborate with EU and NA engineering teams to develop process-centric solutions for cost-optimal and efficient material handling systems.

This role involves significant travel (up to 50% throughout EMEA) and offers the chance to work with diverse teams across multiple countries. You'll be instrumental in creating material flow diagrams, developing concepts using AutoCAD, and driving design reviews with partners. The position requires a strong engineering background with experience in automated material handling equipment and lean principles.
