Senior Optical Manufacturing Engineer, Project Kuiper

Project Kuiper is Amazon's ambitious initiative to launch a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO) to provide fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities worldwide. As a Senior Optical Manufacturing Engineer, you'll lead the Optical Head Assembly production development, playing a crucial role in spacecraft manufacturing. You'll manage a team of 4-6 manufacturing engineers, working directly on the shop floor and collaborating with multiple teams. The role combines hands-on technical leadership with strategic planning, requiring expertise in optical systems, manufacturing processes, and team management. You'll be responsible for developing production processes, solving complex technical challenges, and scaling production capacity while maintaining exceptional quality standards.
