Amazon Robotics is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to join their RDE NA Process Engineering (PE) team. This role is crucial in developing frameworks for new technology onboarding and deployment optimization. Responsibilities For Senior Process Engineer, RDE NA Process Engineering
- Create standard processes for vendors and 3rd party assemblers (3PAs), including inline quality control check points
- Employ Lean engineering and industrial engineering principles to prepare and optimize robotics and automation systems
- Leverage Design for Deployment (DfX) methodologies and Value Stream Mapping techniques
- Partner with suppliers and assist in manufacturing tooling and fixturing
- Support in-field deployments at various Amazon locations globally
- Create troubleshooting and best practices documentation
- Interpret data sets into information and opportunities for process improvement
- Structure and develop implementation plan and work with cross functional leaders
Requirements For Senior Process Engineer, RDE NA Process Engineering
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (any discipline) or related technical field
- 7+ years of relevant work experience in high technology or a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated proficiency using operational metrics, industrial process development, Lean and industrial engineering techniques/tools like Kaizen
- Experience with root cause analysis and problem-solving tools (5 Why's, Fishbone, 8D)
- Ability to travel globally up to 30% per year
