Description For Senior Regional Mechanical Datacenter Engineer, Colo Regional Engineering LATAM

AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking a Senior Regional Mechanical Datacenter Engineer to join their Colo Regional Engineering team in LATAM. This role is fundamental to AWS's global infrastructure, focusing on the design, planning, delivery, and operation of data centers worldwide.

The position offers a unique opportunity to work with AWS's critical infrastructure, where you'll:

  • Conduct site assessments for colocation data centers and evaluate them against AWS standards
  • Perform risk analysis and availability calculations for vendor-operated colocation facilities
  • Influence AWS design and specification requirements for colocation products
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, construction, and operations
  • Support data center operations and efficiency analysis
  • Travel internationally and domestically (up to 50%)

You'll be joining a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, working on challenging problems that impact the global supply chain. The role requires strong expertise in data center mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural (MEPS) infrastructure design engineering.
