Amazon's World Wide Customer Service (WWCS) is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to lead their Endpoint Security initiatives. This pivotal role involves defining and implementing security strategies across hardware, operating system, and device management levels. As the first Security Engineer on the team, you'll shape the security posture of WWCS endpoints on the Operations network.
The position offers unique challenges working with Amazon's bespoke hardware supply chain and operating system. You'll be part of a cross-functional team based in Seattle and Toronto, with regular visibility to multiple VPs. Responsibilities For Senior Security Engineer, Customer Service Security Endpoint Security
- Define security strategy for World Wide Customer Service at hardware, OS, and device management levels
- Deliver projects monitoring security posture of WWCS endpoints
- Lead security strategy for Data Loss Prevention program
- Identify observability gaps in current CSOS deployment
- Act as technical leader and security advocate in strategic planning
- Mentor software engineers on security best practices
- Establish metrics to measure WWCS's security posture
- Stay current with emerging security threats and technologies
- Make autonomous decisions and drive solutions forward
Requirements For Senior Security Engineer, Customer Service Security Endpoint Security
- BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of experience with thread modeling, secure coding, identity management and authentication, software development, cryptography, penetration testing, cloud security, mobile security, or network security
- Advanced knowledge of security engineering, system and network security, authentication protocols, cryptography, or application security
- Experience reading and writing in at least one programming language
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
