Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Senior Security Engineer for their Regions Services Corporate Infrastructure (RSCI) Vector Security Team. This role is crucial in ensuring the security of AWS's most advanced clouds supporting US Intelligence and Defense communities. The position focuses on validating services, applications, and infrastructure meet the highest security standards.
The role involves maintaining security posture for US ADC Remote Management and Administration networks, analyzing infrastructure security, addressing security issues, and building automation. You'll work with cutting-edge services while being mentored by industry experts. The position requires strong expertise across multiple security domains and the ability to contribute significantly to the Engineering team.
As a senior engineer, you'll collaborate with service teams to develop secure solutions for complex business problems, mentor junior engineers, and serve as a security thought leader. The role demands strong customer focus, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills. You'll work in Amazon's new Northern Virginia headquarters, part of a $2.5 billion investment creating 25,000+ new jobs.

- Conduct pre-launch security reviews
- Hardening of Windows services aligned with NIST Compliance requirements
- Security training and outreach to internal development teams
- Security guidance documentation
- Security tool development
- Security metrics delivery and improvements
- Work with builders and service teams to address security problems
- Identify and prioritize security problems for automation
- Identify opportunities to prevent security problems at scale
- Document and provide security guidance for ADC Windows environments
Requirements For Senior Security Engineer, RSCI Vector Security
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent work experience
- 7+ years of progressive security architecture experience in Microsoft Active Directory environment
- 7+ years of experience designing and implementing secure Active Directory domain architecture
- 7+ years experience working with stakeholders across many job functions
- CompTia Security + CE Certification, CASP or CISSP certification
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph
