The Amazon Connectivity team is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to join their innovative team focused on designing connectivity software solutions for Amazon devices, particularly the Fire TV family. Responsibilities For Senior Software Development Engineer, Device OS Connectivity

  • Architect, develop, and deliver Wi-Fi connectivity features for new and existing Amazon devices
  • Collaborate with other software teams to design and deliver unique customer features and experiences
  • Provide Amazon Customer Support technical assistance to troubleshoot customer issues
  • Mentor junior and new team members

Requirements For Senior Software Development Engineer, Device OS Connectivity

  • 7+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 7+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
  • 7+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems experience
  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
  • Experience programming with Java, C, or C++ including object-oriented design
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP internals and common Networking protocols
  • Experience with IEEE802.11/Wi-Fi protocols and extensions
  • Experience with Wi-Fi development and debugging tools
