Senior Software Development Engineer, New Security Service

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. The AWS Firewall Manager team is developing a new, greenfield product leveraging GenAI to help customers manage their network security complexity with ease. As a lead full-stack engineer, you'll shape the development of this product that goes beyond current industry standards.

Key responsibilities:

• Design and implement key features using Rust and/or Java
• Lead and influence teams of developers
• Apply advanced security techniques
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI technology

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language
• 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5+ years of full software development life cycle experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

The base pay for this position ranges from $151,300/year to $261,500/year, depending on the geographic market. Amazon offers a comprehensive benefits package and values work-life harmony.
