Senior Systems Engineer, Drone System, Prime Air

Amazon Prime Air is an innovative project focused on delivering items to customers quickly, cost-effectively, and safely in less than an hour using drone technology. Our team of scientists, engineers, aerospace professionals, and futurists are working to scale this groundbreaking delivery system.

As a Senior Systems Engineer for the Drone System at Prime Air, you will:

• Lead interdisciplinary trade studies across subsystems to determine drone level architecture
• Execute systems engineering processes at the drone level, including creating design documentation, interface control documents, and requirements for operational approvals
• Be responsible for drone system verification and validation, including participation in hardware and software testing
• Define, develop, and test solutions for the Prime Air Drone
• Work with partner teams to define system concepts of operations and drone design
• Spend time in the lab on verification and validation
• Write technical documents to prove the overall safety and reliability of the Prime Air drone
