AWS Utility Computing (UC) is seeking a Senior Windows Client Systems Engineer for their Amazon Dedicated Cloud (ADC) team, focusing on specialized security solutions for government cloud services. This role is part of the Region Services Corporate Infrastructure (RSCI) team, requiring deep expertise in Windows desktop services and infrastructure.

The position demands a hands-on approach to maintaining and enhancing Windows services, including build/deployment capabilities, application packaging, and troubleshooting. Responsibilities For Senior ADC Windows Client Engineer, Region Services Operations (RSO) - VECTOR Team

  • Maintain and enhance existing Windows build/deployment services
  • Work with Security Compliance team to ensure desktop environment security
  • Drive design and implementation of new services
  • Improve and automate existing services
  • Provide escalation and mentoring for junior team members
  • Manage core ADC services including directory services, DNS/DHCP, and application servers
  • Drive resolution and root cause analysis for critical issues
  • Develop automation tools to reduce manual effort
  • Improve monitoring and visualization of system health

Requirements For Senior ADC Windows Client Engineer, Region Services Operations (RSO) - VECTOR Team

  • Associate's degree, or Cloud+ or GICSP or GSEC or SSCP certification
  • Eight years supporting Windows family of operating systems
  • 3+ years experience in automation/scripting with PowerShell
  • Defined Knowledge of networking basic skills and troubleshooting
  • Experience in software packaging, deployment, security patching, and OS Deployment
  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph
