Description For Si/Pi Engineer, Sr., Ring

Ring, an Amazon company, is seeking a Senior Si/Pi Engineer to join their global electrical engineering team. This role is crucial in maintaining the highest product quality standards and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The position combines hands-on technical work with leadership responsibilities, focusing on signal and power integrity engineering.

The ideal candidate will be immersed in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where they'll manage EE SI/PI design from concept to production, develop methodologies for solving complex system challenges, and work with various bus protocols. The role involves detailed work with circuit design, cross-talk analysis, and radiation immunity of sensors, while also contributing to PCB and FPC standardization.

As part of Amazon's innovative hardware team, you'll collaborate with global team members on cutting-edge projects, participate in solving challenging technical problems, and have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers. The team prides itself on its diverse composition and belief that different perspectives drive innovation.

The position requires a strong background in server technologies, signal integrity, and power systems, with hands-on experience in circuit simulation and measurement. A master's degree in electrical engineering or related field is preferred, along with project management experience and deep understanding of component selection and reliability.

Responsibilities For Si/Pi Engineer, Sr., Ring

  • Manage EE SI/PI design from concept to products
  • Create SI/PI methodology and process for existing or new requirements
  • Hands-on new circuit design and study
  • Find solutions for cross talk and radiation immunity of sensors
  • Work with team to standardize PCB and FPC
  • Work on buck/boost/LDO theory and component selection
  • Collaborate with global team members

Requirements For Si/Pi Engineer, Sr., Ring

Linux
  • Experience in server technologies including thermal, mechanical, power, and signal integrity
  • Experience working with interdisciplinary teams
  • SI/PI knowledge with high speed circuit simulation calibration
  • Experience in measurement of SI/PI circuits
  • Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent (preferred)
  • Experience with technical project management
  • Experience in component selection and understanding of component reliability
  • Knowledge of bus protocols (UART, PLC, I2C, I2S, SPI, MIPI, DDR, LPDDR)
