Description For Site Process Engineer, EU PE Team

Amazon's EU Process Engineering (EU PE) team is seeking a Site Process Engineer to drive process optimization and continuous improvement across their European Customer Fulfillment Network. This role combines operational leadership with technical expertise to enhance process performance and standardization across fulfillment centers. The position requires close collaboration with multiple teams including Process System Engineering, ACES PM, Central Ops, and maintenance teams to improve metrics and drive efficiency.

The role focuses on implementing Back to Basics (B2B) initiatives, identifying improvement opportunities, and benchmarking performance across EU facilities. You'll work directly with FC Senior Leadership Teams while maintaining strong collaboration with EU PE functions. Key responsibilities include deploying initiatives, building relationships, and ensuring compliance within assigned timelines.

As a Site Process Engineer, you'll be responsible for analyzing process performance through data analysis, creating improvement plans, and driving best practice implementation across the network. The position requires strong project management skills, the ability to influence stakeholders, and expertise in continuous improvement methodologies like Lean and Six Sigma.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree, fluency in English and German (C1 level), and significant operations experience. You'll need to demonstrate strong technical knowledge of fulfillment processes and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities For Site Process Engineer, EU PE Team

  • Work on Back to Basics (B2B) initiatives identifying top opportunities in FC
  • Oversee FC improvement program and set focus on important areas
  • Drive network best practice implementation
  • Own deployment of EU network initiatives
  • Partner with FC Operations team
  • Support or lead EU Projects
  • Join daily Gemba on the floor with FC Leadership
  • Organize weekly LSC Meeting with FC Leadership Team
  • Drive process control and performance optimization
  • Collaborate with central PE functions and other Site PEs

Requirements For Site Process Engineer, EU PE Team

  • Bachelor's degree
  • English and German language proficiency (C1 level)
  • Experience in Operations as Area Manager or comparable experience
  • High proficiency of technical knowledge of at least one Fulfillment process path (Quriosity silver/gold certification)
  • Strong professional experience with Lean, Six Sigma and Kaizen methodologies
  • Excellent communication skills and detail orientation
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
