Description For Site Risk & Due Diligence Manager, Risk & Resiliency

AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking a Site Risk & Due Diligence Manager to join their team responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and operation of AWS global infrastructure. This role is crucial in maintaining and expanding AWS's cloud infrastructure worldwide. The position involves leading technical site due diligence projects, partnering with stakeholders across AWS infrastructure organization, and shaping the future of AWS' infrastructure growth and investments.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating prospective datacenter sites, coordinating technical studies, and making critical decisions about site acquisition, design, and engineering. They will work with a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, and security experts to ensure AWS maintains its high standards for safety and security while optimizing capacity and cost efficiency.

This role requires strong technical program management skills and the ability to handle multiple high-priority projects simultaneously. The position offers the opportunity to work on challenging problems with global impact, dealing with thousands of variables affecting the supply chain. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate excellent stakeholder management skills, technical risk assessment capabilities, and the ability to drive alignment across teams with competing priorities.

  • 10+ years of technical program or project management experience
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering or scientific discipline, or equivalent experience
  • Multidisciplinary concept/preliminary design experience
  • Background in civil engineering, architecture, environmental sciences, or similar technical disciplines
