Description For Site Technical Manager

Amazon is seeking a Site Technical Manager (STM) to serve as the primary owner for manufacturing technical issues with Contract Manufacturers. This role combines technical expertise with project management, focusing on ensuring manufacturing excellence and product quality. The STM will be responsible for overseeing product readiness, process optimization, and quality control in manufacturing operations.

The position requires deep technical knowledge in manufacturing processes, test engineering, and quality management systems. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to drive improvements in manufacturing efficiency, yield, and quality. The role involves both strategic planning and hands-on technical problem-solving.

Responsibilities For Site Technical Manager

  • Ensure technical readiness for product ramp and serve as manufacturing engineering owner
  • Drive manufacture test flow optimization and process improvements
  • Define manufacture process qualification criteria and manage qualification activities
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for manufacturing process issues
  • Participate in design & planning through DFM, Line balancing, Process Yield
  • Work with CM's engineering teams to identify and escalate manufacturing challenges
  • Review and approve Fixtures Designs & Qualification
  • Review and execute Manufacturing Test Coverage Documents
  • Work with sustaining engineering team on product improvements
  • Audit CM for manufacture process quality management system

Requirements For Site Technical Manager

  • Bachelor of engineer degree
  • 5+ years' experience in manufacturing and process engineering of CE industrial
  • Familiar with electronic circuit and/or hardware test
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing and test processes
  • Experience in defining production process/test and equipment requirements
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional and remote teams
  • Project management skills
  • Hands-on experience with product and production equipment
