Description For SoC Power Analysis and Optimization Engineer

AWS Utility Computing (UC) is at the forefront of cloud infrastructure innovation, developing crucial services like S3 and EC2. This role is within Annapurna Labs, an AWS subsidiary focused on developing revolutionary semiconductor platforms. As a SoC Power Analysis and Optimization Engineer, you'll be instrumental in developing advanced processors powering Amazon Cloud. The position combines chip design expertise with problem-solving and collaborative skills, working on state-of-the-art processor technology.

The role involves analyzing and optimizing SoC power consumption throughout the design cycle, collaborating with various teams including Logic & Physical Design, PDN, and Post-Si. You'll be part of Annapurna Labs, which started in 2011 and was acquired by AWS in 2015. The team has developed significant innovations including AWS Nitro technology, AWS Graviton processors, and ML Inferentia & Trainium.

Requirements For SoC Power Analysis and Optimization Engineer

Python
  • BSc in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
  • 2+ years of experience in power analysis and optimization, logic design, backend design, or chip verification
  • Deep understanding in previous expertise domains and chip design cycle
  • Proficiency in C, Python, or Perl
  • Strong communication skills
  • Team player ability
