Description For Software Dev Engineer, Core Network

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. As a core part of keeping the cloud running, we support all AWS data centers including servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment to ensure continuous customer access to AWS services.

The role focuses on Software Defined Networking (SDN), working with hyper-scale data center networks and cloud infrastructure. You'll be part of a team developing algorithms and services to control traffic flow across Amazon's network, responding to network changes, scaling, maintenance, failures, and security events.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Owning multiple services and features, architecting them to scale
  • Working with stakeholders to understand customer needs
