Software Dev Engineer, Hiring our Heroes/Cohort, Ring

Ring, an Amazon company, is seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer for their Billing and Subscriptions team. This role is part of the Hiring our Heroes (HoH) Corporate Fellowship program for Active-Duty Military Members and Military Spouses. The ideal candidate will be curious, creative, and goal-oriented, taking ownership of their work and passionate about software quality, consistency, maintainability, performance, and security.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing and developing features for Ring Billing and Subscription services
• Improving application architecture with scalable systems and APIs
• Engaging with internal and external stakeholders for new product features
• Identifying opportunities to enhance user experience
• Owning operational excellence, tech debt, and security roadmap
• Guiding team members in building scalable and maintainable solutions

The role involves daily interaction with other Ring and Amazon engineering teams, participating in on-call support, and contributing to new initiatives within the Ring ecosystem.
