Software Dev Engineer II, Amazon

We're working to improve shopping on Amazon using the conversational capabilities of large language models (LLM), and are searching for pioneers who are passionate about technology, innovation, and customer experience, and are ready to make a lasting impact on the industry. You'll be working with talented scientists, engineers, and technical program managers (TPM) to innovate on behalf of our customers.

Key job responsibilities:

• Design and implement stable and efficient training infrastructure for pre-training, fine-tuning, and RLHF that scale to large model sizes and hardware such as GPU resources.
• Collaborate with other talented applied scientists and engineers to improve training infrastructure that accelerates innovation.
• Quickly learn cutting-edge technologies and algorithms in the field of Generative AI.
• Support training on other platforms, such as AWS Trainium.
• Improve training efficiency at different layers, such as framework and GPU optimization.

This role requires leveraging both engineering and machine learning backgrounds to help develop generative AI for shopping. You'll be part of a dynamic, driven team working on exciting advancements in AI technology.

Amazon offers a competitive compensation package, including base pay ranging from $129,300 to $223,600 per year, depending on the geographic market. The company also provides equity, sign-on payments, and a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
