Software Dev Engineer II, Amazon One Enterprise

AWS Solutions provides horizontal and industry vertical applications for business users with the same on-demand scalability, reliability, pay-as-you-go pricing, and machine learning expertise that drive AWS services. The AWS Solutions group includes services such as Amazon Connect, End User Computing, Marketing Tech, and Autonomous Checkout and Biometric Identity Services.

Amazon One Enterprise is a new, contactless, palm-based biometrics authentication service that allows employees to securely access buildings, enterprise assets, and software resources without badges, PINs, or passcodes. The service includes an Amazon One (AO) device deployed at the customer location and cloud services for device management and user authentication.

As a Software Development Engineer II, you will:

• Help solve a variety of technical challenges and mentor other engineers
• Translate business and functional requirements into concrete deliverables
• Build quick prototypes or proofs of concept
• Invent new features, design, develop, and deploy highly scalable and reliable distributed services
• Work with multiple technical teams at Amazon in different locations
• Tackle challenging, novel situations daily

The role requires an entrepreneurial mindset, the ability to wear many hats, and work in a highly collaborative environment. You should be comfortable with a high degree of ambiguity and excited about solving problems that haven't been solved at scale before.
