Description For Software Dev Engineer II, FPDS Last Mile - Customer Integrations

The Amazon Foundational People Data Services (FPDS) team is seeking a Software Dev Engineer II to join their innovative HR solutions team. This role is crucial in building and maintaining systems that manage HR processes for nearly 3,000,000 employees globally. The position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge AWS technologies while solving complex HR data challenges.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for integrating HR systems with over 100 downstream systems, requiring strong expertise in Core Java, SQL, and various AWS services. You'll be working in a fast-paced environment where software shipping cycles are measured in weeks, not years, and where your contributions will have a direct impact on global HR operations.

As part of the FPDS team, you'll be enabling data producers and consumers to onboard to FPDS services efficiently, acting as a force multiplier to expand people data selection for data consumers. Your work will directly benefit Amazon Builder teams, Employee Experience teams, and Amazon's Subsidiaries.

The role offers competitive compensation ranging from $129,300 to $223,600 per year, depending on location and experience, plus additional benefits including equity and sign-on payments. This is an excellent opportunity for a mid-level engineer looking to make a significant impact in a global technology leader while working with cutting-edge cloud technologies and complex data systems.
