The People eXperience and Technology (PXT) Central Science Team at Amazon uses economics, behavioral science, statistics, Machine Learning, and LLMs to proactively identify mechanisms and process improvements which simultaneously improve Amazon and the lives, wellbeing, and the value of work to Amazonians. We are seeking a Software Development Engineer (SDE) specializing in managing large volumes of data within an MLOps/GenAIOps framework.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver solutions that measurably improve Amazon and Amazonians' lives
- Build distributed, scalable, and highly available systems for ML, LLM, Econometrics/Statistical/Causal models
- Own products ranging from Data Lakes to tools for science experimentation, MLOps, GenAIOps, and analytics
- Develop web applications and software solutions integrated with other Amazon systems
- Collaborate with economists, academic scholars, machine learning experts, and fellow developers
- Craft, experiment, and launch services embodying diverse scientific models
Required Skills:
- Expertise in Machine Learning lifecycle management
- Familiarity with model training, validation, debugging tools, and analysis techniques
- Experience in enhancing LLM responses through methodologies like RAG and Prompt Engineering
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and system architecture skills
- Capability to construct scalable systems for model deployment and GenAI application building
- Experience with ML system design, frameworks, and GenAI application design/development
