Description For Software Dev. Engineer II, INTech LatAm and APAC

Amazon's INTech Latam & APAC team is seeking a Software Development Engineer to join their Vancouver office, focusing on expanding retail features across Latin America and Asia Pacific regions. This role involves working with highly available Tier-1 services that serve over 300 million customers. The position offers an opportunity to work on massively scalable distributed systems processing billions of requests daily, while solving unique challenges in international retail expansion.

The team consists of 300+ people globally, with 30 experienced Amazonians in the Vancouver office. They maintain a low on-call load to focus on solving bigger-picture problems. The role requires expertise in developing real-time scalable systems, strong technical abilities, and excellent communication skills. You'll be working in a fast-paced environment where innovation and creative problem-solving are essential.

As part of the Shopping Experience Development Team, you'll leverage US inventory to enhance selection, pricing, and delivery experiences for customers in Mexico, Brazil, Australia, and Singapore. The role involves handling complex tax compliance requirements while ensuring optimal customer experiences. The position offers competitive compensation, including a base salary range of $114,800-$191,800, plus equity, sign-on bonuses, and comprehensive benefits.
