Description For Software Dev Engineer II, Relay Yard Automation

Amazon's Relay Yard Automation (RYA) team is seeking a Software Development Engineer to join their organization of 30 individuals. RYA provides critical tier-1 products used across Amazon's vast logistics network, spanning over 6000 facilities in North America, Europe, and Japan. The team's software facilitates the management of millions of transportation assets and has processed 50M vehicle arrivals/departures and 30M trailer operations globally in the past year.

The role involves working on various products including Sesame app, GEM, Relay Gate, Valet app, and Yard Inventory Manager (YIM). These systems are crucial for gate operations, yard management, and maintaining safety standards across Amazon's logistics network. The position offers an opportunity to work on complex logistics automation systems that directly impact Amazon's global supply chain efficiency.

As an SDE, you'll be responsible for the full software development lifecycle, from concept through launch. The role demands strong technical skills to develop scalable solutions, perform code reviews, and maintain high software quality standards. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers and TPMs, to ensure seamless system integration and timely feature delivery.

This position offers competitive compensation, with a base salary range of $114,800 to $191,800 per year, plus additional benefits and potential equity.
