AWS Serverless Compute Fabric is a rapidly growing internal service becoming the default compute infrastructure for various AWS applications including Lambda, Athena, Glue, and Bedrock. The team manages over 80,000 bare metal EC2 servers worldwide and is responsible for the Firecracker-based microVM infrastructure. As a Software Development Engineer, you'll work on capacity management systems for EC2 instances, using languages like Java, TypeScript, Ruby, and Go. The role involves managing fleet composition, integrating new instance types, and optimizing capacity management.
