Software Dev. Engineer in Test, Conversational shopping

We are reimagining Amazon Search with an interactive conversational experience that helps you find answers to product questions, perform product comparisons, receive personalized product suggestions, and so much more, to easily find the perfect product for your needs. We're looking for a talented and experienced Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our team and help realize this vision.

As an SDET, you will be responsible for the design, development, launch, and operation of key initiatives associated with our complex integration system. You'll work in a highly collaborative and supportive environment across all stages of an agile software development life cycle, including architecture design, development, documentation, testing, and operations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Reducing manual/regression test execution and improving test efficiency by creating automated solutions
• Identifying and reducing defects early in the development cycle
• Building and driving adoption of frameworks and tools
• Onboarding various teams to the framework, helping them understand high-level architecture
• Mentoring and training teammates and stakeholders
• Utilizing software engineering best practices to improve operational excellence
• Maintaining high coding standards and reviewing design and code for partner teams

You'll have the opportunity to be a key contributor to something special from its earliest stages, working on cutting-edge technology in the field of conversational AI and e-commerce.

Required qualifications:

• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C#, including object-oriented design
• Experience building test automation frameworks and tools

Preferred qualifications:

• Knowledge of overall system architecture, scalability, reliability, and performance in a database environment
• Experience with security in service-oriented architectures and web services
