Software Dev Engineer Intern - ML Chip Architect (Fall), Annapurna ML

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Software Dev Engineer Intern for the ML Chip Architect team at Annapurna Labs. This is a full-time (40 hours/week) internship for 12 consecutive weeks.

As a member of the ML chip architecture team, you will be responsible for:

• Accelerating large-scale machine learning workloads across algorithms, software, and hardware
• Acting as an interface between SW and HW teams
• Driving performance improvements on existing AWS hardware platforms
• Proposing, evaluating, and developing hardware optimizations for future product generations

Key qualifications:

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Machine Learning, or related fields
• Knowledge or experience in computer architecture and silicon design
• Experience with C++, Rust, or other programming languages, as well as Python or similar scripting languages

Preferred qualifications:

• Familiarity with machine learning applications and performance tuning on accelerators (GPUs, TPUs, etc.)
• Experience with RTL coding using Verilog, SystemVerilog, or similar languages
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills
