Project Kuiper is Amazon's ambitious initiative to revolutionize global connectivity through a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites. This groundbreaking project aims to provide high-speed, low-latency broadband access to underserved communities worldwide.

As a Software Dev Engineer for Kuiper, you'll be at the forefront of developing embedded software for terrestrial products that will form a crucial part of this innovative satellite network. You'll work on designing and implementing reliable software solutions that will be deployed at scale across Kuiper's ground gateway stations.

The role offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in the space industry while solving complex engineering challenges. You'll be responsible for the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment, working with various programming languages including C, C++, and Rust on Linux or RTOS platforms.

Responsibilities For Software Dev Engineer, Kuiper

  • Develop embedded software for terrestrial devices within the Project Kuiper system
  • Participate in all phases of SDLC including requirements gathering, design, code, test
  • Collaborate with engineers across the org to gather requirements and develop solutions
  • Develop code, build CI/CD pipelines, and test automation
  • Engineer and build solutions for managing ground gateway stations
  • Develop embedded software in assembly, C, C++, Rust or other languages
