As a member of the UC organization, you'll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (IoT), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS, including support for customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.
RDS for Opensource runs the largest fleet of MySQL, Postgres & MariaDB databases in the world. We have challenging problems to solve in distributed systems, concurrency, database internals, caching, query optimization, languages, and performance engineering. You will be responsible for defining the development and testing standards, mentoring junior engineers and hiring for the team. You will work with business and other AWS teams and translate the requirements to technical deliverables and hold the bar very high on the quality of our product. A successful applicant must possess the ability to excel in an ambiguous environment, be smart to define the best possible architecture, have excellent software development skills, good testing aptitude, working knowledge of relational databases and distributed systems.
