Description For Software Dev Fellowship HoH Cohort 25-2, Project Kuiper

Project Kuiper is an innovative Amazon initiative focused on launching a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites to provide high-speed broadband connectivity to underserved communities worldwide. As a Software Development Engineer in this role, you'll be part of the team responsible for developing the customer engagement systems and core network infrastructure. The position involves designing and implementing telecom components, applications, and services while collaborating with satellite, networks, and security engineering teams.

The role is specifically part of a program for Active-Duty Military Members and Military Spouses through Hiring our Heroes (HoH) Corporate Fellowship. You'll be working on developing the architecture, solutions, and roadmap for managing the customer lifecycle for telecom services, including identity and account management, subscriber management, billing and payments, customer support tools, and analytics.

Responsibilities For Software Dev Fellowship HoH Cohort 25-2, Project Kuiper

  • Design and Implement Telecom Components, Applications and Services
  • Partner with the Satellite, Networks and Security engineering teams
  • Design components, services, and relevant data models
  • Build and maintain components and services of Project Kuiper's Customer Engagement Systems
  • Interact with the core Kuiper Network

Requirements For Software Dev Fellowship HoH Cohort 25-2, Project Kuiper

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  • Must be an U.S. Military member with 180~ days of time in service remaining or an employment ready military spouse
  • Must be an approved candidate for Hiring our Heroes (HOH) 25-1 Cohort
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or refugee/asylee due to export control requirements
