Software Development Engineer

Our Software Development Engineers (SDEs) use cutting-edge technology to solve complex problems and get to see the impact of their work first-hand. The challenges SDEs solve for at Amazon are big and influence millions of customers, sellers, and products around the world. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about creating new products, features, and services from scratch while managing ambiguity and the pace of a company where development cycles are measured in weeks, not years.

To qualify, applicants should have earned a Bachelor's or Master's degree within the last six months or be on track to earn their Bachelor's or Master's degree prior to the role start date.

Basic Qualifications:

• Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
• Bachelor's degree in computer science related fields OR 1+ years equivalent experience in software development
• Computer Science fundamentals in data structures, algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis
• Proficiency in, at least, one modern programming language such as C, C++, C#, Java or Python

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in web-development, both front-end and back-end
• Experience delivering software in a service oriented architecture
• Comfortable with modern SDLC processes: version control, agile development, code reviews, test-driven development, continuous deployment
• Experience with React, Node JS or Python

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets, with base pay ranging from $99,500/year to $200,000/year depending on location and other factors.
