The team provides foundational capabilities for Rufus, Search, and Alexa Shopping businesses, including:

1. LLM Data
2. Automated CX Quality Metrics and Root Cause Analysis
3. LLM Infrastructure

We build multi-tenant, scalable, and extensible solutions leveraging large language models and generative AI to automate the evaluation of customer experiences. Our primary focus in 2024 is on Rufus, a conversational shopping assistant on the Amazon App.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain services for evaluating and deploying large language models for conversational agents
• Investigate design approaches, prototype new technology, and evaluate technical feasibility
• Work with Applied scientists to process massive data and scale machine learning models
• Lead and influence overall tech strategy
• Lead system architecture and spearhead best practices for quality infrastructure
• Work in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high-quality software
• Tackle challenging, novel situations daily
• Learn cutting-edge technologies and algorithms in Generative AI

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Amazon offers a competitive compensation package, including equity and a range of benefits. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year to $223,600/year, depending on the geographic market and other factors.
