Key job responsibilities: We are looking for a software engineer to drive feature development for Amazon Location Service. You will take the lead on end-to-end full stack design, development of our new serverless AWS service. You will deliver a best in class customer experience and operate the service to the highest standards.

A day in the life: Start your day, grab a coffee (or tea), say hi to your team, design and build features to create or enhance applications. Other elements in the day of a SDE include ensuring operational effectiveness of systems, providing oncall support, running and attending meetings including sprint ceremonies and reviewing designs and work products with your team and stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent, or 4+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience building distributed cloud systems
• Hands on experience with DevOps tools and practices
• Experience maintaining open source codebases
