Join Amazon Robotics' Autonomous Mobility software team in developing Proteus, Amazon's groundbreaking fully autonomous warehouse robot. As a Software Development Engineer on the Platform, Data and Tools team, you'll work alongside exceptional engineers building cutting-edge solutions for onboard mapping, perception, motion planning, and control software. The role combines embedded systems development with machine learning, focusing on optimizing performance, integrating hardware, and building robust data pipelines.

You'll be part of a multi-disciplinary team of Applied Scientists and Software Engineers with expertise in Computer Vision, SLAM, motion planning, and controls. The team's mission is to deliver autonomous navigation software that leverages state-of-the-art sensor technologies and algorithms for safe, efficient operation of autonomous mobile robots throughout Amazon's fulfillment network.

This position offers the opportunity to work with advanced technologies including NVIDIA JetPack SDK, ROS, and various ML frameworks. You'll contribute to critical aspects of robot development, from low-level system optimization to high-level ML pipeline development. The role combines technical challenges with real-world impact, as your work will directly influence the performance and capabilities of Amazon's next-generation warehouse robots.
