Amazon's Middle Mile organization is transforming its transportation management from external trucking companies to in-house operations with Line Haul Service Providers (LSPs). The Trailer Path Optimization team plays a crucial role in this transformation, focusing on solving complex routing problems at scale. This team develops sophisticated algorithms and implements large-scale solutions to optimize trailer paths across Amazon's network.

As a Software Development Engineer on this team, you'll be working on Day 1 products that route millions of freight items in real-time. The services you'll develop handle thousands of requests per second and make business decisions that impact billions of dollars annually, directly improving the ordering and delivery experience for millions of online shoppers.

The role requires strong technical expertise, particularly in building and operating backend applications at massive scale. You'll work with the latest AWS technologies and interact daily with senior engineers to build algorithms and maintainable systems. This position offers competitive compensation ranging from $129,300 to $223,600 per year, depending on location and experience.
