Are you a budding programmer with a passion for technology and a drive to learn? Amazon is seeking Software Development Engineer Apprentices to join their dynamic team for an exciting 42-month journey of professional growth and skill development. As an apprentice, you'll work alongside seasoned software engineering experts, gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Your role will involve:

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize solutions
  • Learning and applying best practices in software development
  • Contributing to real-world projects that impact millions of customers globally
  • Analyzing and solving complex technical challenges
  • Participating in code reviews and ensuring code quality
  • Implementing software security measures and compliance
  • Staying updated with the latest software development trends and emerging technologies

You'll work towards a BSc (Hons) Digital and Technology Solutions (Software Pathway) degree, with 20% of your time dedicated to off-the-job learning. The program includes classroom/virtual training, on-the-job training, online learning, and mentoring from experienced team members.

Requirements For Software Development Engineer Apprentice (Fixed Term Contract)

  • Be 18 years or over before the start date
  • Have the right to live and work in England
  • Have lived in the UK or EEA for the last 3 years
  • Be a UK resident for the entire duration of the programme
  • Not be registered to study on a UK government funded course ending August 2025 or later
  • Have at least 5 GCSEs grade C (grade 4) or above including Maths and English
  • Have a minimum of 3 A-Levels at grades AAB, or ABB if subjects include A-Level Mathematics or Computer Science
