Software Development Engineer, AWS Direct Connect

AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking a Software Development Engineer to join the AWS Direct Connect team, focusing on building and maintaining the next generation of AWS Direct Connect service. This role is crucial in designing and developing features that enable customers to establish dedicated network connections from their premises to AWS cloud.

AWS Direct Connect is a vital service available in over 91 locations across 28 countries, helping customers reduce network costs, increase bandwidth throughput, and provide consistent network experience. The role involves:

• Building large-scale distributed systems that are scalable, fault-tolerant, and cost-effective
• Working with cross-disciplinary teams to design and implement innovative solutions
• Contributing to product direction through technical leadership
• Creating solutions for distributed computing environments at incredible scale
• Participating in on-call rotations to support team services
• Mentoring teammates and helping them develop technical skills
