Description For Software Development Engineer, AWS Direct Connect Control Plane

AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking a Software Development Engineer to join their Direct Connect team, a crucial component of AWS's global infrastructure. This role focuses on designing, developing, and supporting the AWS Direct Connect service, which enables customers to establish dedicated network connections from their premises to the AWS cloud. AWS Direct Connect is available in over 91 locations across 28 countries, helping customers reduce network costs, increase bandwidth throughput, and provide consistent network experience.

The position offers an opportunity to work on large-scale distributed systems that are fundamental to AWS's infrastructure. You'll be part of a team that owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of AWS global infrastructure, essentially keeping the cloud running. The role involves collaborating with experienced cross-disciplinary teams to build innovative solutions that operate at incredible scale.

As a Software Development Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing and implementing features that directly impact customer experience, working with both data plane and control plane software, and participating in network design and implementation.
