Software Development Engineer, AWS Energy Team

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We're looking for talented software engineers to join our diverse team working on the most challenging problems in the supply chain. You'll collaborate with people across AWS to deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop a Sustainability Data Platform hosting analytical and predictive models
• Collaborate with Data Engineers to build large data models
• Work with Data Scientists to create predictive models for enhancing decision-making
• Build systems to measure and provide actionable decisions to reduce carbon footprint
• Contribute to Amazon's commitment to achieve net-zero carbon by 2040
• Work on innovative technology to manage AWS's growing portfolio of renewable energy investments

Basic Qualifications:

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Amazon offers a competitive compensation package, including equity, sign-on payments, and a full range of benefits. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year to $223,600/year, depending on the geographic market and other factors.
