We are looking for experienced Software Development Engineers to join the first AWS Software Development Engineering team in New Zealand. This team will be working on developing a new data ingestion, transformation, storage, and analytics solution in partnership with Vector, aimed at transforming the industry and having a positive impact on the environment.

Key responsibilities and opportunities:

• Architect, design, and implement a new solution for more affordable, reliable, and cleaner energy options
• Build massive scale, highly available, low latency software services
• Mentor other engineers and display end-to-end ownership
• Work within a fast-moving, startup environment in a large company
• Deliver solid code with broad business impact
• Be part of a worldwide AWS organization building brand new services for smart energy

Required qualifications:

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience
• Experience building complex software systems successfully delivered to customers

Preferred qualifications:

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
