Software Development Engineer, AWS Security

Join our team and help build innovative security services that actively detect and mitigate cyber threats across Amazon's cloud infrastructure and customer services in real-time. You'll work alongside data scientists, security engineers, and software developers to develop cutting-edge mitigation solutions that proactively protect every AWS customer from emerging threats at a massive scale.

As a Software Development Engineer on the AWS Security Mitigation Services team, you'll create services that enable automated mitigation of security threats detected across AWS infrastructure. You'll collaborate with detection teams to develop mitigation capabilities that can stop threat actor activity as it's happening. Your work will leverage AWS's breadth of services to build scalable, real-time mitigation solutions. Additionally, you will build and tune models for analyzing the potential risks of taking security actions.

Key aspects of the role:

• Develop cutting-edge mitigation solutions for AWS customers
• Work with a diverse team of data scientists, security engineers, and software developers
• Build scalable, real-time mitigation services
• Analyze and model potential risks of security actions
• Participate in on-call responsibilities (typically one week every two months)
• Flexible work environment with core business hours of 9:30 EST - 4:30 EST
