Amazon Security Platform Engineering provides the tools that allow Amazon to secure the cloud, our employees, and our customers.

The AWS Security Operations Centre (SOC) Software Engineering team builds and owns services that automate and power security processes within Amazon. As an SDE on the SOC Software Engineering team, your role is pivotal in maintaining robust and innovative solutions. You will work on complex challenges in existing and new development initiatives, focusing on areas with ambiguity. Your goal is to design and develop software systems that are secure, maintainable, scalable, and extendable.

Key responsibilities include:

• Writing high-quality, efficient, and testable production code
• Building highly available, secure distributed systems at Amazon scale
• Being an end-to-end technical owner of the services you build
• Contributing to planning, design, implementation, testing, operations, and process improvement
• Being part of a growing, tight-knit team within a wider community of experienced engineers

Basic Qualifications:

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• Legal right to work in Ireland

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
