Software Development Engineer - AWS Systems Manager

Our team, AWS Systems Manager, is looking for a Software Development Engineer (SDE) to help improve our current open source amazon-ssm-agent and build the next version of the agent. AWS Systems Manager is the operations hub for the AWS cloud. Many customers, from startups to enterprises, are running their entire infrastructure or parts of it in AWS. Operating this infrastructure in the cloud reliably is crucial to our customers, and we are a core part of that story. Systems Manager provides a unified operational dashboard to view operational data from multiple AWS services, manage large fleets of instances, manage distributed applications as a single unit, automate operational tasks/runbooks, and define safe operational workflows.

As part of the Utility Computing (UC) organization, you'll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (IoT), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS, including support for customers who require specialized security solutions.

Basic Qualifications:

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
