Software Development Engineer, Big Data Technologies - EDC - Othrys

Amazon's Big Data Technologies (BDT) organization is seeking a talented Software Development Engineer to join their Othrys team in building a revolutionary analytical data platform. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on Amazon's next-generation analytics platform, which serves the entire company's data needs.

The position involves working with cutting-edge AWS technologies and open-source frameworks in the big data space, including Sagemaker, Lake Formation, Glue, Redshift, Athena, Apache Spark, Hive, Presto, Flink, Iceberg, and Hudi. You'll be part of a team developing a data lake marketplace that enables secure sharing of large-volume analytical data across Amazon.

As an SDE-2 on the Othrys team, you'll work in a structured environment with two-week sprints, collaborating with leadership and other engineers on cross-cutting projects. The team consists of 3 SDE1s, 2 experienced SDE2s, and 1 tenured SDE3 professional, with access to Principal Engineers within the organizational group.

The role offers competitive compensation ranging from $129,300 to $223,600 based on location, plus additional benefits including equity, sign-on payments, and comprehensive medical coverage.
