Description For Software Development Engineer, CloudWatch Application Signals

CloudWatch Application Signals, launched during reInvent 2023, is a new AWS service in public preview. It enables customers to automatically instrument their applications on AWS to monitor current application health and track long-term application performance against business objectives. The service provides a unified, application-centric view of applications, services, and dependencies, helping customers monitor and triage application health.

As a Software Development Engineer on the CloudWatch Application Signals team, you will:

  • Work closely with engineering staff, product managers, and UX designers across the team
  • Interact directly with customers
  • Play a key role in defining technology strategies for the product
  • Act as a technical leader and force-multiplier in the team
  • Have the opportunity to build, influence, and shape a new AWS service

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent (preferred)
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience (preferred)
