Description For Software Development Engineer, Customer Engagement Technologies

Amazon's Customer Engagement Technologies (CET) department is seeking a Software Development Engineer to join their innovative team. This role is part of a multi-year, large-scale enterprise software program focused on next-generation contact routing systems for Amazon Customer Service. The position offers an opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies, including Generative AI and Machine Learning, to improve customer support experiences.

The role is situated within the Contact Center Management Systems team, responsible for managing customer contacts and ensuring efficient resolution through self-service or customer service associates. You'll be working on systems that handle one of the world's largest customer service operations, using SCRUM and test-driven development methodologies.

As an SDE, you'll be instrumental in developing and implementing contact center systems that leverage advanced routing systems and preserve customer contact journey data. The position requires collaboration with experienced Amazonians across different disciplines and offers the chance to influence fundamental industry changes.

The compensation package is comprehensive, ranging from $129,300 to $223,600 based on location, plus additional benefits including medical, dental, vision coverage, 401(k), and parental leave options. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of professional software development experience and strong architecture design skills.
