Description For Software Development Engineer, Customer Engagement Technology

The Contact Handling Experience (CHEX) team within Amazon's Customer Engagement Technology (CET) is seeking a Software Development Engineer to join their mission of creating Earth's best customer service solutions. This role focuses on building scalable platforms and robust architecture for thousands of customer service associates across multiple marketplaces. The position involves working with machine learning techniques, big data, and experimentation to improve customer service experiences.

As a key member of the team, you'll be responsible for developing end-to-end solutions, collaborating with leaders to identify and solve customer needs, and contributing to the next generation of Customer Service technology in partnership with AWS teams. The role offers an opportunity to work on innovative projects that directly impact hundreds of millions of customers through improved service delivery.

The position offers competitive compensation ranging from $129,300 to $223,600 based on location and experience, plus additional benefits including equity and sign-on payments.   • Take ownership of software design, documentation, development, engineering approaches, delivery and support of services
  • Collaborate with leaders and work backwards from customer needs
  • Build exciting features and new services to empower Customer Service Associates at scale
  • Participate in an on-call rotation with your team
  • Identify and troubleshoot recurring platform issues
  • Contribute to documentation, process, and procedures
  • Develop end-to-end solutions to support Customer Service associates

Requirements For Software Development Engineer, Customer Engagement Technology

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  • Experience with design patterns, reliability and scaling of new and existing systems
